BRUNO BARBOZA

BOARD MEMBER

A U.S. Navy combat veteran and finance professional, Bruno brings a grounded, service driven perspective to the board. After years in uniform, he transitioned into a career in finance, where he applied the same discipline and attention to detail that defined his military service, into helping others achieve their goals and gain a better understanding.

Beyond the numbers, Bruno is guided by a deeply held belief: that creative expression is one of the most powerful tools veterans have for processing trauma and finding language for experiences that words alone can't carry. That conviction is what draws him to this work; building spaces where vets can set aside the weight of their service and move in ways they never thought of before to express things that can't be put into words, while finding solace with those around them that have similar experience.

As a board member, Bruno helps steward the organization's mission with the practical rigor of a financial professional and the lived empathy of someone who has served. He believes that healing doesn't have to be a solitary act, and that a community, built one honest, creative act at a time, is where real recovery begins.
