VANESSA ZÓA

BOARD MEMBER

Vanessa has spent her career helping organizations connect with their audiences through authentic storytelling, strategic communications, and meaningful community engagement. An actor and director with more than a decade of experience in educational theatre, she frequently collaborated with Movement Source Dance Company in Phoenix, Arizona, as an American Sign Language interpreter.

She holds a B.A. in Communications from Fordham University and is an ICF Associate Certified Coach, National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, and Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500, RCYT, and YACEP. She is also the founder of Twine Transformational Coaching & Yoga, established in 2010. Vanessa is passionate about the power of the arts to build connections, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for people to be seen and heard.

As a member of the Black Box Dance Theatre Board, Vanessa supports the organization’s marketing and communications efforts and is proud to help advance its mission and presence in the Raleigh community. She also enjoys staying connected to dance personally through classes at Arts Together in Raleigh.
