MINDY DEMCHAK

Mindy Demchak is the Lead Administrative Director of Black Box Dance Theatre (BBDT), where she oversees organizational operations, financial management, and administrative systems supporting the company’s artistic and community programs. A former Wake County public school principal and experienced business professional, Demchak brings deep expertise in leadership, organizational management, and strategic planning.

Throughout her career in education, Demchak led complex institutions serving diverse communities, managing budgets, personnel, and compliance while fostering inclusive, people-centered environments. Her background as an educator and administrator informs her thoughtful, systems-oriented approach to nonprofit leadership and public stewardship.

Demchak has held multiple roles within BBDT over several years, contributing to program coordination, artistic endeavors, operations, and organizational development before assuming her current role as Administrative Director.
